New Beau Sejour creche system kicks in

BEAU Sejour creche's new booking system worked well on its first day, despite the facility being quieter than usual, a member of a working party has said.

But the Culture and Leisure Department has not released any figures about how many people are using it.

The new system means that parents have to book a month in advance to use the creche. Prices have also risen.

The changes were brought about after the department announced that it was looking to close the operation because it was running at a loss. Louise Smith is one of the mums who has been working with the department to try to save the creche.

She was pleased with how the first day of the new system had gone.
