Christmas lottery ticket cost doubles - but so does the chance of a win

TICKETS for the Channel Islands Christmas Lottery cost £2 this year but each offers two chances to win.

The tickets go on sale today.

As in previous years, the first prize will start at £300,000 and will increase as more tickets are sold. The guaranteed second prize will be £50,000 and third prize £25,000. There will also be 45 £500 prizes.

The tickets will also have a scratch card section allowing buyers the chance to instantly win prizes ranging from £2 to £5,000.

Syndicates or groups who purchase blocks of 50 tickets from agents are also guaranteed to win a minimum of £22.
