THE Weighbridge roundabout will be reduced to a single lane for four weeks as Guernsey Water carries out work to prevent sewage flooding.

From mid-January a new surface water sewer will be installed from the bottom of Le Truchot to connect to one under the roundabout.

The project will reduce the risk of foul water flooding that was experienced by four commercial properties after heavy rainfall in September 2012

It is expected to take 12 weeks to complete, requiring various traffic management measures.

The main impact to traffic using the Weighbridge roundabout will last approximately four weeks.

The taxi rank will be relocated during part of the work.
