The team, which is one of the largest to go to Glasgow 2014, has excelled over the first two days in the Tollcross pool in Glasgow.

After Miles Munro reached a semi-final on the first day of competition and set an island record for the 50m butterfly in the process, six more island records fell yesterday and the remarkable feat of setting two records in one race was achieved twice.

Munro, Alexander Beaton, Ben Lowndes, Courtney Butcher, James Jurkiewicz, Jeremy Osborne, Luke Belton, Oliver Nightingale and Tom Hollingsworth have all been named as ambassadors for the Swimarathon, which will take place from 8 to 12 October.
