Aurigny to fly twice-daily to London City airport
AURIGNY will start flights to London City airport on 8 September, it has announced today.
The twice-daily service will give increased access to the capital and Mark Darby, CEO of the States-owned airline, said it was an important addition to the route map.
'A number of our regular business customers have asked about the possibility of Aurigny connecting Guernsey with London City.
'For some the ability to get into the heart of the city as early as possible would greatly improve their business opportunities and we are delighted to be able to offer this service.
'We intend to operate two flights each way each weekday and, when combined with our London Gatwick and London Stansted services, we believe we have a very attractive offering for business commuters travelling in each direction.'
The direct 75-minute flights will depart Guernsey at 7.30am and 5pm, and return at 9.15am and 6.45pm.
