WAYS to play games online safely was the subject of a talk by a visiting expert at the Safer Internet Day on Saturday.

Ken Corish, pictured, online safety director for the South West Grid for Learning, addressed parents about social gaming.

Mr Corish said it was the 'three Cs' – content, contact and conduct – that were the way to look at the issue.

That meant looking at the content of the game, who the children were playing with and how they were behaving when they played.

He also said that, generally, young people will play the games with people they know for the 'contact' part.
