Meeting the needs of the NMC Extraordinary review of midwifery services will cost at least £2m., with £1.71m. of this not covered by its current budget.

A review of recruitment and retention at the PEH has made 18 recommendations, including the need for up to 71 more nurses at a cost of £3.1m. and better incentives at £500,000.

Another £300,000 is needed to address immediate safety concerns in children's social care.

HSSD also has outlined a list of £6m. in potential capital spending on things like laundry and medical equipment.
