More disruption for Liberation passengers as today's Guernsey to Jersey sailing is cancelled
ENGINE problems on the Liberation has forced Condor to cancel today's Guernsey to Jersey sailing.
The ferry operator said its new vessel had developed an electrical fault with the engine control unit on her forward main engine yesterday evening while sailing from Guernsey to Poole.
And further electrical issues has forced it to stop the engine entirely.
Condor said that, due to Jersey's tidal situation, the problem meant it was unable to call into Guernsey on the way to Jersey and therefore had no option but to cancel the 11am Guernsey to Jersey leg.
Passengers booked to travel from Guernsey to Jersey can be transferred to the 17:20 Conventional Clipper Service.
The Liberation was taken out of operation for a week after colliding with a harbour fender on its second day in service,
