Spitfire theme for Chelsea
SPITFIRE nose cone hanging planters will be the centrepiece for Raymond Evison's Chelsea Flower Show entry.
The grower has won gold awards at the prestigious show for the last 13 years and now has 26 on his mantelpiece.
As soon as last year's show was finished, he began preparing for this one.
'The young plants were potted on in June and grown through the last year,' Mr Evison said.
'On 1 January, all the plants go in a cold store, but then we have thawed them out at various intervals over the last six to 10 weeks. It is always difficult to prepare for the show, as you don't know what the weather is going to be like.'
