The fully-booked 7.10pm flight from Alderney to Guernsey last night was G-Joey's last hurrah and it was an emotional journey for all aboard.
Passengers received a certificate after the trip from Captain Dave Rice, who has been flying the aircraft for 26 years.
'I must have flown Joey a thousand times,' he said.
'It is definitely a bit sad to have done this for the last time but the send-off has been fantastic. Everyone was so excited on the flight and when we landed in Guernsey everyone went very quiet and one lady even placed a kiss on his nose. You can tell that Joey has a special place in people's heart.'
