'We have a £7.8m.-a-year budget and teach over 5,000 students a year, which is the full-time equivalent of 1,200 students, the same as combining St Sampson's and Les Beaucamps high schools.

'We have 200 members of staff and teach everything from horticulture to IT and engineering. We are asking businesses what they want and what skills they want the workforce to have, what are the things that are being planned, so we can provide the workforce for your business.'
