Buying a lottery ticket is a 'win-win for island'
CHRISTMAS lottery tickets provide a 'win-win' for the people who buy them and the local charities which benefit from the proceeds, the Young People Guernsey chairwoman has said.

Tickets for the annual lottery – which last year had a record- breaking £1.2m. top prize – went on sale yesterday.
The draw takes place in Jersey on 17 December, with money raised split between both islands based on ticket sales.
The donations were helpful to all charities, Young People Guernsey chairwoman Jane St Pier said.
'It is well recognised that all charities are looking for meaningful support and the Christmas lottery is local people supporting local causes.
'It really is a win-win situation.'
