Islanders out in force for late-night shopping
LATE-night shopping's popularity will survive the introduction of Sunday trading, businesses and shoppers have said.

Last night was the second of the three late-night shopping events, where most businesses in St Peter Port stayed open into the evening. Stalls also popped up in Market Square and the High Street, as did entertainers.
While damp weather last week discouraged the crowds, islanders were out in force last night.
Although late-night opening gives working people a chance to do some midweek shopping, islanders have said there is much more to it than that.
Friends Donna Blinston and Tessa Le Gallez were trying to think of a way to raise money for the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation and suddenly realised that Santa did not attend late-night shopping.
So they decked out the basement of a shop in the Market building to look like a grotto and invited Father Christmas and some elves to come and see the children.
Father Christmas will be back in Town between 6pm and 8pm for next Thursday's late-night shopping.
