King's Mills runners are thanked by beneficiaries

TORRENTIAL rain and strong winds did not put off participants of the King's Mills Jogging Club fun run, with more than 400 people registering beforehand.

Yesterday's event, where people could run, jog or walk, was raising money for the causes of Jonah Gillingham and Anthony McMahon.

Warren Mauger, one of the organisers, said there was a good mix of people taking part.

The club organised the 4.5 kilometre fun run, starting and finishing at Les Beaucamps High School.
