Protected buildings register lists 10 outstanding residential properties
TEN outstanding properties have become the first structures to be put on a new list of top tier protected buildings in Guernsey.

Until 2014 there was only one category of listed property, but following an overhaul of the protected building register, a new A and B class system was introduced. This was operated in a similar manner to how the grade 1, grade 2 and grade 2* system operates in the UK.
Environment's policy and environment manager Claire Barrett said it had been an important step forward for Guernsey.
