In a report released today by URS Infrastructure and Environment UK Ltd, other options to tackle flood risk at the Bridge, include a wall, roughly 1.5m in height, around the bank of the western marina and flood wall along the central reservation of the existing road on the Bridge.

In addition, the report also states that all options to raise the standard of flood protection in St Sampson's would also be required to improve the standard of protection at Le Grand Havre to prevent backdoor flooding.

However, Environment does not consider any of the options to be viable.

It therefore will be putting a interim option to States members next month that would see a less-intrusive barrier installed along the length of the Bridge.
