Free boats for Herm shopping weekend

With only two days of the November and December shopping trips going to plan due to horrendous weather, a lot of visitors missed out on their annual day of free boats, shopping and lunch.

Herm, along with Travel Trident, has agreed to make the last weekend of half term a shopping weekend, with free boats to the island from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 February.

The gift shops will be open all day and the Mermaid Tavern will also open for drinks and serve lunch from noon.

There will be five boats on the Friday and Saturday from Guernsey – 8.30, 10.15, 12.15, 14.15 and 16.00 – and returns from Herm 20 minutes later.

There will be four boats on the Sunday – 10.15, 12.15, 14.15 and 16.00, again with returns 20 minutes later.

The free trips apply only to daytrippers and tickets must be purchased on the day of travel.
