'Shout about growth mindset work more'

PIONEERING work on growth mindset is happening in Guernsey, a visiting charity researching the idea has said.

The Education Department is hosting three professionals from the Winning Scotland Foundation, a charity that works across sport and education to help children achieve their potential.

Growth mindset project lead John Paul Fitzpatrick, whose job it is to roll out the idea across Scotland, said Guernsey was a leading, authoritative voice on the subject.

'You have a population of about 65,000 and we have a population of about five million to roll this out to.

'Growth mindset can change lives – it makes a huge difference to kids, their appetite for learning, their confidence and attainment and this is about helping each child to achieve their personal best.'
