The annual Les Bourgs Hospice fundraiser attracts hundreds of cyclists each year, with around 1,200 turning out in 2015.

With the hospice celebrating its 25th birthday this year, the organising team hopes as many riders as possible will mark the milestone.

Last year, more than £40,000 was raised.

'We had a great turnout last year,' said organising committee member Mira Domaille.

'We would love to beat last year's numbers and raise even more, particularly in such an important year for the hospice.'

The start line is at the top of Le Val des Terres, with additional starting points at Rocquaine and Grandes Rocques for those with less energy or less time.

Riders are encouraged to register online at http://bit.ly/1Smn3wV to avoid queues on the day and download a sponsorship form.

Online registration will close at midnight on Thursday 26 May but riders can also register at any of the starting points on the day.

All riders should wear a helmet.
