Priaulxs honoured to host Pride of Guernsey awards

RACING star Andy Priaulx and wife Jo are always proud to fly the flag for Guernsey wherever they are in the world, which is why they have agreed to host the first ever Guernsey Press Pride of Guernsey Awards.

The couple will be at our special awards ceremony in October to celebrate the hundreds of islanders among us who are doing extraordinary things every day.

For some it will be for family, friends or neighbours.

For others it will just simply all be in a day's work.

This new set of honours will be a way to publicly thank those who don't qualify for existing awards or who miss out because there are just no suitable ones available.

Andy and Jo said they were honoured to be part of The Guernsey Press's celebration of those who make the Bailiwick such a great place to live.

We will be running nomination forms in the newspaper, on our guernseypress.com website and on our special sister website prideofguernsey.com.

More details about our October awards ceremony, which will have islanders as the stars of the show, will be revealed shortly. Joining us as our presenter for the evening will be Island FM's James Bentley.
