Petit train comes to Guernsey
GUERNSEY is to have its own Petit Train.
The train, which came from France, arrived in Guernsey this morning and the route, which was trialled this morning, has been approved.
It will travel from Albert Pier, past Castle Cornet to La Vallette, back along South Esplanade, around Church Square, around the Pollet, up St Julian's Avenue, past the OGH and Royal Court before turning back down St Julian's Avenue, around North Beach and back to the Albert Pier.
Each run will last 35 minutes and it will start after the morning rush hour ending before 5pm.
The route has been designed with deviations to allow traffic to pass if there is a build up, for example, it will turn down the road that runs next to Credit Suisse, Les Echelons, rather than travel along the main road.
See tomorrow's Guernsey Press for more details.
