Parking shortage holding up Admiral Park development
A SHORTAGE of parking is stifling a proposed major development at Admiral Park, after planners set restrictions on the number of spaces allowed.

The information was revealed in the latest planning application, in which developer Comprop has asked for an increase in parking from 470 to 700 spaces for a major office development, hotel and cinema.
Comprop managing director Steve Marie said the project was a vital brownfield development for Guernsey, but more parking was needed.
'The main reason for the increase is demand from office tenants, who require adequate parking for their employees,' he said.
'Without this element the scheme is not viable as it simply will not attract businesses to the site.
