No action against Law Officers in Pfos case
NO INTERNAL action is set to be taken against any Law Officer involved in the ill-fated Pfos legal action.
A spokesman on behalf of the Law Officers also said it did not accept mistakes were made with the advice that was given to the PSD board as it pursued legal action against 3M, the makers of the firefighting foam chemical Pfos.
The statement from the Law Officers comes as another member of the Public Service board, Deputy Mark Dorey, who joined after PSD had already rejected the £3.25m. settlement offer from 3M, reiterated that the board consistently followed the advice given to them.
In a statement from St James Chamber, the Law Officer said that in conjunction with the external legal advisers, they advised PSD of the implications of accepting or rejecting the offer, but they could not share the detail of or basis for the advice given.
