Pride of Guernsey: An 'inspiration' to all

WITH no fewer than four nominations from students, Blanchelande College's deputy head teacher Sarah Tribe has been keenly credited for the extra English sessions and mentoring she provides to support students with revision and any problems they might have, and has been nominated for the Pride Of Guernsey Teacher of the Year Award, sponsored by Garenne.

Teacher Sarah Tribe has been labelled an 'incredible asset' to the school and 'inspiration' to all, who always puts 100% into the school.

Ms Tribe has also been credited for helping the college's students make career decisions while going through post-16.

The four nominating students could not speak highly enough of her.

Sophia Guille said she would always remember the support given by Ms Tribe and fellow student Samantha Vaudin said she did not think she would get support from anyone quite like her.

Daisy Claremont, who also attends, called Ms Tribe an inspiration, while Lola Bougourd called her caring, considerate and hardworking – putting everyone before herself.

* The nomination period for all 12 Pride of Guernsey Awards remains open until 30 June. Forms appear in paper or visit our dedicated sister website www.prideofguernsey.com/nominate
