Pride of Guernsey: 'Amazing couple who are always putting their children first'
A MUM and dad who work around the clock to support their family and always put their children first have been nominated for the Pride of Guernsey Parent/s of the Year Award, sponsored by The Christies Group.
Steph, 31, and Jon, 32, Batiste have three children all under the age of six.
They were were put forward by Wendy van Katwyk, who without a doubt believed they deserved the award.
'They are an amazing couple, always putting their children first,' she said.
'Also, Calum broke his leg when he was two, which took a lot of extra care as he was in a cast for months.'
Steph works full time as a trust officer and Jon works nights and days trying to make ends meet.
The couple also recently bought a house that needs extensive work and Steph and Jon can do it only when they have enough money, which is extremely hard for them, Wendy said.
'I hope you will choose Steph and Jon as I believe they totally deserve this award.'
