Entertainers and equipment arrived via plane and ferry and the majority of rigging went up early this morning.

Sounds systems were installed and fencing erected.

Ahead of all the activities, people were also making the most of the sun and the French Normandie Markets yesterday, tucking into culinary delights including sausages, olives, biscuits, mustards and jams, cheeses and charcuterie.

Liberation celebrations organiser Alex Bridle, of the Guernsey Event Company, said the setting up was going to plan and to schedule, thanks to the good weather.
