Pride of Guernsey: 'The whole point is Jonah'
'WITH short notice they researched, compiled, obtained copy, remastered, mixed and recorded the Jonah Beats double CD,' said the people who nominated Noizemonkey for the Pride of Guernsey Arts Contribution of the Year Award, sponsored by Moonpig.

'Not only is it a vital recording of the Guernsey music scene in 2016, but every penny raised by its sale goes to Helping Jonah Help Others.'
It was the first time that they had done a charity CD. 'I think from start to finish it took us two months,' said Bob Klein, whose recording studio and mixing business is Noizemonkey.
He was partnered in the creation of the album by Pete 'Plumb' Bretel. 'My side initially was the negotiation of copyright. But everyone was willing to help. We got on social media to see who wanted to do a CD and we got 27 bands. Everything from acoustic through trance to doom metal.'
The pair approached businesses for funding for the CD and The Golden Lion, run by White Rock Brewery.
'So every bit of money goes to the Jonah charity.'
'It's nice being nominated,' admitted Bob. 'But the whole point is Jonah.'
'It's not just us, it's everyone who was involved,' added Plumb.
The double CD Jonah Beats costs £10 and is available at The Golden Lion, The Cornerstone and Kendall's Music and at www.jonahbeats.bandcamp.com. To find out more about the charity, visit www.helpingjonah.com
