Window smashed in CFE break-in bid
VANDALS climbed onto the roof and smashed skylight windows in an attempt to gain access to the College of Further Education's Les Ozouets campus
.
Guernsey Police are now on the hunt for those responsible and are appealing for anybody with information to come forward.
While the attempt to gain access was unsuccessful, the damage caused has been described as 'senseless'.
It is believed the attempt was made while students were on their half-term break – between Monday 30 May and Saturday 4 June.
John Norman, the college's director of operations, said the college operated on an open shared site with other services at Les Ozouets.
He said it made it relatively difficult to identify and manage who is and who is not a legitimate visitor to the site, therefore creating a difficulty in maintaining security.
'The senseless damage caused to our buildings puts our site users at risk and we would encourage anyone who can help to identify those responsible to do so,' he said.
