'Even though this is their job, they must have been terrified – they were both fantastic, my guardian angels.

'They worked amazingly as a team.

'They kept my little boy stable, even though it was touch and go, until he got taken to Southampton General.

'Nicky kept checking on all of us while we were in the PEH. Two wonderful people, we love them.'

The passer-by who performed CPR was off-duty nurse Lollie McClean, who was just a few metres away when she noticed something was wrong. She ran over, took the baby, laid him on the floor and did CPR on him, saving his life.

During the ordeal she had to keep her own 18-month-old daughter calm, all the while keeping the baby breathing.

Lollie's nomination will be detailed in a future edition.
