Pride of Guernsey: 'Dedicated, passionate and hard-working'
LADIES' COLLEGE students have said they are not sure whether they would pass their religious studies exams without teacher Charlotte Le Maitre.
It is for that reason that five pupils have nominated Miss Le Maitre for the Garenne-sponsored Teacher of the Year Award.
Anna Renouf said Miss Le Maitre had helped her and all the GCSE class so much over the last two years.
'I'm not sure how I would pass without her,' she said.
'Not only is she an incredible teacher but she also took time to get to know us as pupils, which I believe is very important.
'She is the best teacher that I've ever had.'
Ellie Robert, 16, said Miss Le Maitre was an amazing RS teacher.
'She is always willing to help, even when she is very busy herself,' she said.
'She is able to sometimes joke around with us and make class fun without distracting us from our work.'
Ellie said Miss Le Maitre always found ways of making the subject seem a lot easier than it actually was.
'She definitely deserves to win as she is so dedicated, passionate and hard-working.'
Autumn-Rose Rowe said Miss Le Maitre had dedicated her life to bringing joy to students while another student, Aisling Taylor, said she was caring, hard-working, passionate and extremely knowledgeable.
'She will always put students before herself and will always ensure everyone has the help they need,' said Aisling, 16.
