Debbie Robilliard has been nominated for the Angel of the Year Award, sponsored by Ravenscroft, by Sam Daruvala, who said she could not think of a more deserving person to win the award.

'Not only has she helped thousands of people like me as part of her job, she also goes the extra mile outside of work,' she said.

'She organises social nights to make sure people with this type of illness have others in similar situations to talk to, she is always the first to offer help and support at any time of day, like offering a lift or helping with the shopping etc.

'She is never dismissive and will always do everything possible to care for you to the very best of her ability, giving 100% each and every time you need her.'

She said Mrs Robilliard was always smiling and genuinely happy to help, despite having a busy home life with two children and having gone through some difficult personal circumstances over the past few years.

'To put it simply, she is the best, most caring person I know and I can't think of a more deserving person to win this award.'
