Pride of Guernsey - 'He has impacted so many animals' lives'
DEDICATING more than 20 years to animals and their rights has seen Geoff George nominated for the Rossborough-sponsored Emergency Hero of the Year Award. Dani Brouard submitted the nomination because of his hard work.

'Over the years Geoff has impacted so many animals' lives and even put them before his own.
'In January this year, Geoff risked his own life to free climb down a sheer cliff face to rescue Bonnie, a two-week-old seal, holding the seal in one arm while climbing back with the other – he worked around the clock to stabilise her.'
A cow and a giant poodle are also animals that he has rescued from the cliffs.
'Geoff has rescued some amazing sea life – in 2003 a green turtle and, in 2016, a loggerhead turtle, Olivia. She has been a challenge, from needing to be tubed for two months to now eating on her own.'
Working for the Born Free Foundation, performing CPR on dogs and hand-rearing wildfire were just a few other examples of why he should be nominated, she added.
'Geoff has given so much, it would be marvellous to see him get the recognition he deserves.'
