Pride of Guernsey: 'Such a kind-hearted man'
A FROSSARD WARD nurse who helped care for a little boy who almost lost his toe has been nominated for the Ravenscroft-sponsored Angel of the Year award.
Eduardo Rocha has been nominated by the Bruley family for looking after little Alfie three years ago. Three years on, Alfie still talks about how kind his nurse was.
'We had only just moved to the island when my young son Alfie had a very bad accident and as a result has been left with a damaged toe,' said mum Nicola.
'We were very lucky that they could save his toe.
'After an operation to stitch it back together, he was on Frossard Ward for some time.
'He had excellent care from Eduardo – he put us all at ease and looked after my son in an outstanding manner.
'He really went above and beyond – he is such a nice, kind-hearted man and a credit to Frossard Ward.'
