The 17-year-old has demonstrated this throughout her Level 1 health and social care course and is now going into childcare with the ambition of being a nanny.
Her motivation has remained despite ongoing difficulties outside college, her nominator, Cassie Turner, said.
'She has attended various extra-curricular activities such as weekly boot camp and yoga. She has approached these sessions with great enthusiasm.'
She also has a high attendance record.
Courtney has been accepted onto a Level 2 course and is also looking for part-time work.
