War Memorial move application withdrawn
A PLANNING application to move the War Memorial to the Sunken Gardens has been withdrawn by Education, Sport & Culture.

While the committee has pulled its support following a board meeting this week, it says the private group behind the plan could resubmit it independently of government.
The proposal led to a petition against the project, which included creating a piazza, and a protest at the site.
