La Planque Lane neighbours have traffic concerns as land for sale

INCREASED traffic is one of the concerns for residents near La Planque Lane after they discovered a plot of land, with permission for an aircraft hangar, was up for sale.

The site, approximately 1.5 acres, has direct access to the main taxiway and is sited off the lane, in the Forest.

Planning consent was given in 2013 to erect the hangar with taxiway, apron and parking for 18 cars.

However, at the time it caused major concern from a group of unhappy Forest residents who believed the developer's long-term intention was for the site to be used as a distribution centre or industrial warehouse.

Now the site has been put up for sale.

John Domaille, 80, has lived in the area since 1964 and said that the lanes were not suitable for two cars passing.

Another resident in the area was already concerned with traffic coming up the lane, as it was now.
