Stunt display teams, Second World War vintage aircraft and the iconic, much-loved Red Arrows all dazzled crowds over the course of more than two hours, as thousands of people packed the seafront.
Opening proceedings was the official Royal Navy display team, the Black Cats, flying Wildcat helicopters and showing that it is not just planes that can leave people speechless.
Air Display organiser and director Barry Neal was happy with the way everything had gone, and confirmed the display would return on 14 September next year.
