Inspiration found by Moldovan artist in Herm
MOLDOVAN artist Eugen Gorean visited Herm for a watercolour workshop in the open air.
Several people made the trip from Guernsey for this unique experience to see a talented artist create a piece straight from the blank page.
Eugen's first exhibition in Guernsey opened on 16 September in the market buildings, the first event created by newly-formed Art In Guernsey.
Run by entrepreneur and art collector David Ummels, Art in Guernsey is a group formed with a view to bringing international artistic talent to the islands. It is for David to give back to his new island home culturally by using his artistic contacts and to become involved in community events such as this free Herm workshop and visits to Cheshire Homes and the PEH.
All profits from the exhibition, after the artist's share, will be donated to Teen Cancer Trust and Arts for Impact.
