Biggest NightRide yet for Northern Lights edition
BRIGHT lights, reflective clothing and fancy dress descended on the coast for a record-breaking charity night ride.
Around 500 people of all ages cycled routes of between five and 50 miles around the island for the Healthspan-sponsored NightRide, organised by the Guernsey Bicycle Group.
In its fourth year, this time starting from Pembroke, a sea of bikes combined to make it a record number of participants, to help raise money for this year's charity Jake's Heartfelt Fund.
Among those taking part in NightRide 2016: Northern Lights Edition, was Louisa Eccles, 48, and Paul O'Reilly, 52, were cycling with their children Maeve O'Reilly, 10, and Finn O'Reilly, 12 and said it was an event which brought everyone together, whatever their ability.
They had opted for the 15-mile route.
Maeve said she had been cycling since the age of three or four.
'This is exciting,' she said.
