'Get on with it' Education is told by teachers' unions
POLITICIANS must move on from any further attempts to U-turn on selection and end the lingering uncertainty on teachers, union officials have demanded.

Two of the leading unions, the NASUWT and the National Union of Teachers, have both called on Education, Sports & Culture, and the States as a whole, to move forward with plans for all-ability secondary education – after a second vote in just nine months to bring an end to the 11-plus.
General secretary of the NASUWT, Chris Keates, said it hoped the States' narrow vote last week – by 21 to 19 – was the end to the States U-turning.
