The Queen grants Bailiff a two-year extension in role
BAILIFF Sir Richard Collas will remain in post until May 2020 after the Queen granted a two-year extension to his appointment.
Sir Richard Collas was installed as the 89th Bailiff of Guernsey in March 2012, having previously served as the Deputy Bailiff since June 2005.
He had been due to retire in May 2018 when he reached 65.
Sir Richard said: 'It has been an enormous honour and a great privilege to serve the island of my birth as its Bailiff.
'I believe I still have the energy and enthusiasm required to fulfil the duties of the office.
'I am delighted that my request has been granted.'
