Guernseyman Jamie Le Friec and his wife Suzie are taking over the business, which will be renamed The Driftwood Inn.

An application by Driftwood Inn Co. Ltd to appoint Mr Le Friec as the designated official for the liquor licence and under-18s permit will be heard by the Royal Court on 2 May.

The couple have spent the last 18 years managing and designing hotels in the UK and have worked on establishments as far afield as The Isles of Scilly and Inverness, most recently in Cornwall.

Perelle Bay Hotel closed in November, 2015. Subsequent legal battles saw ownership of the property revert to its original owners, John and Christine Trimbee. Mr and Mrs Le Friec thanked Mr and Mrs Trimbee for their help 'and perseverance'.
