Gsy Radio to go live Monday

LOCAL radio will have a new focal point come Monday morning.

Although James Bentley will be the sole Gsy Radio presenter when it goes live at 7am next Monday, the internet station will play music 24 hours a day.

James Bentley, formerly of Island FM, is spearheading the new station, Gsy Radio, which will broadcast worldwide on the internet.

Mr Bentley said he was looking forward to giving people a different option.

‘At the moment it’s just me, but we’re looking at talking to people who want to volunteer and get involved – people who want to get to know radio and learn.'

There will be a launch party on Friday night before the breakfast show kicks off in earnest on Monday at 7am.
