Port Grat pier gets repairs ahead of winter

REPAIR work is under way at Port Grat pier, ahead of winter.

Each autumn the granite structure needs maintenance to ensure it can cope with everything the winter storms throw at it.

Stonemasons from R. Ferbrache and Partners started work there yesterday on behalf of the States.

Company owner Ross Ferbrache said they were hopeful they would complete the repairs within two or three days.
