Both students and their parents competed across four categories to ‘learn with Lego’, by making the most impressive and most imaginative designs that they could to try to win top prizes.

Every entry was on display yesterday afternoon for the school to look at.

‘It has been a great opportunity for parents to work on something with their children, we do one of these take home challenges each term, and this has been very successful,’ organiser and Year 5 teacher Katie Le Prevost said.

While taking part was optional, 150 entries were received across the categories.

Category one was to make your first name, two was to make a famous landmark or person, three to make a controllable mode and four, for parents only, was to make a Guernsey-themed model.
