Changes announced yesterday for the 2018 service include an increase on night bus fees from £2 to £2.50, the elimination of the 22 route and two new routes servicing The Bridge/Vale area and the West coast via the Princess Elizabeth Hospital.

The changes are planned to take effect from Monday 22 January and Environment & Infrastructure is seeking public comments on the proposed changes.

Bus Users Group coordinator Fergus Dunlop, said group members heard about the changes from CT Plus at its annual general meeting two weekends ago.

‘The changes are selective, and generally met with approval,’ he said.

A consultation period about the changes runs from Monday 13 November through to Monday 27 November and the public are invited to submit comments in writing to The Director of Traffic and Highway Services, Bulwer Avenue Office, Bulwer Avenue, St. Sampson, GY1 3HY or by e-mail to traffic@gov.gg.
