Aqua-star lays off dozen staff and puts production on hold
STAFF were left in shock at Aqua-star yesterday after the luxury motor yacht business fired about a dozen workers.

The Longue Hougue-based company released a statement stating it would continue with second-hand and new boat sales but would be taking a six-month break from production.
But it is unclear how existing staff will fit into future plans after they were told at 3pm they were sacked and were given just two hours to leave the premises.
Some of them had worked for the business for more than 30 years.
The firm would not comment on staffing changes.
