Arts and sports furious over sudden grants cut

PROMINENT representatives from the arts and sports community are ‘livid’ about a shock cut in grants from Economic Development.

The removal of an annual grant for both Arts and Sports Commissions was confirmed with no consultation, prompting fury from many key figures.

Last year the grant given to the Arts Commission was £37,000, while the Sports Commission received £31,400. ongoing support is critical.’
