Town’s Christmas tree looks better
A MOTHER of two took it into her own hands to redecorate the Christmas tree in Church Square.

Kyra Butcher, 26, did the work with family, friends and people she recruited on Facebook.
After the Rotary Club of Guernsey had put the tree up in late November, Miss Butcher said she thought it needed something doing to it.
‘I was at my grandparents’ house and when I mentioned it to my pop [Trevor Butcher] he encouraged me to do something about it,’ she said.
‘I sent a nice email saying I felt it needed an uplift and said I was happy to volunteer to get involved.’
Miss Butcher contacted Rotary Club of Guernsey member Nigel Dorey who, after speaking to colleagues, said she had their full support.
