That was a key message at one of the events hosted by Startup Guernsey during Global Entrepreneurship Week, focused on food entrepreneurs.

Small business owners including Primrose Matheson from superfoods specialists Primrose Kitchen in Dorset, James Le Gallez from drinks business Aperitif and Charlotte Dickson from Guernsey Oysters, as well as representatives from The Community Kitchen, Men’s Shed and Makerspace, told their stories at the event.

Other events staged during the week included a speed networking session, a WordPress workshop on website management, a workshop on G Suite, Google’s business software, a session on ‘vision boarding’ and a social media ‘cafe’.

‘Global Entrepreneurship Week is the highlight of Startup Guernsey’s year and a real chance to showcase and inspire local entrepreneurs,’ said Jennifer Strachan, CEO of Startup Guernsey.
